“Wellness is a multidimensional state of being describing the existence of positive
health in an individual as exemplified by quality of life and a sense of well-being.”
- Dr. Charles B. Corbin, Arizona State University
At the Ndukwe Foundation, we strive to help children achieve optimal wellness. Although this may seem fairly straight forward, but as Dr. Corbin's research concludes, wellness is a matrix of different variables that if met, truly optimize a human being's potential. This is especially important for children so they can develop healthy habits early in life. The other primary arenas of wellness that we focus upon are:
-
Physical Wellness
-
Intellectual Wellness
-
Emotional Wellness
Individually, these three arenas are very important; but, collectively they can become the blueprint to a long, happy, and successful life.
In our mission of helping children to achieve optimal wellness, we vigorously focus upon all three arenas.
The reason why wellness is so important is simple - healthy, smart, active, and confident people tend to be much more successful.
